It started with a dog named D

Six years ago, D wasn't supposed to end up safe on a property in Victoria. He was supposed to end up somewhere much worse. Instead, he became our first rescue — and the reason this whole thing exists. Since then we've named the brand after Wilbour, one of the many animals who've come through our doors since, because once you've rescued one, you don't really stop.

Wilbour & Friends isn't a pet gift shop that donates a bit on the side — rescue is the whole point. We independently rescue dogs, cats, birds, pigs, cows, goats and rabbits across Victoria, no shelter red tape, just showing up when an animal needs somewhere to go. Every product we sell exists to help fund that work.

Every dollar we make goes back into rescuing more animals — vet bills, transport, food, and giving animals like D a second shot at a good life. No greenwashing, no vague "a portion of proceeds." Buying from us funds the next rescue.
